Bengaluru: New Tata BS-6 chassis which have been first time introduced in South India have been handed over to KSRTC at free of cost by Tata Motors for trial run to study the performance. The tentative cost of this chassis is Rs. 27 lakhs.
This is BS-6 chassis with 4 cylinders, 5 ltrs 180 Hp engine with 224” wheelbase and more fuel efficient compared to BS-4. Bus body will be built on this chassis at KSRTC regional workshop Kengeri.
M/s Tata Motors Govt and STU-Business Regional Manager Ajay Gupta handed over chasis papers to KSRTC Managing Director Shivayogi C. Kalasad.
